The Bill (Reg. №4545) envisages the exclusion form the current law norms regarding the implementation of the he age limit of holding the public office.
During the discussion the Members o the Committee expressed remarks concerning the Bill. In particular the implementation of the age restrictions is not supposed to be regarded as the equality right of the citizen violation. Age limit of holding the public office is actually the pension age for this category of workers.
The People´s Deputies have also appointed out the attention on the fact that according to the Constitutional Court judgment from 16 October 2007 №8-рп/2007 and from 18 April 2000 №5-рп/2000 it is determined that "implementation of the age limit pf holding the public office by the law is the issue of the social or economic necessity and is not supposed to be the violation of the rights equality of the citizens and it corresponds to the Constitution of Ukraine".
Moreover, the international-legal acts allow the possibility of the certain age limits of service holding in national system of laws.
